# Switch from Instinct to LVLZ: bring your WhatsApp history

> Export your Instinct chat from WhatsApp and send it to your LVLZ agent. It sets up your projects, tasks with their statuses, contacts and what it knows about you, and shows you a preview before anything is saved.

Your history with Instinct lives in a WhatsApp chat. Export that chat, send the file to your agent, and it turns months of messages into projects, tasks, contacts and notes. You see what it found before anything is saved.

## How it works

1. **Export the chat.** In WhatsApp, export your chat with Instinct. It takes a few taps on iPhone or Android.
2. **Send it to your agent.** Send the file to your agent on WhatsApp or iMessage, or upload it in app.lvlz.ai under Settings, Import.
3. **Check the preview, say yes.** Your agent lists the projects, tasks, contacts and details it found. Keep what you want and it imports them.

## Export the chat on iPhone

1. Open WhatsApp and the chat with Instinct.
2. Tap the name at the top of the chat.
3. Scroll down and tap Export Chat, then Without Media.
4. Share the .zip file with your LVLZ agent, or save it to Files and upload it later.

## Export the chat on Android

1. Open WhatsApp and the chat with Instinct.
2. Tap the three dots at the top right, then More, then Export chat.
3. Choose Without media.
4. Share the .txt file with your LVLZ agent, or save it and upload it later.

## Is the export encrypted?

WhatsApp’s end-to-end encryption protects messages while they travel between phones. Exporting a chat creates a plain text copy on your own phone, so there is nothing to decrypt and no key to share. The encrypted backups WhatsApp keeps in iCloud or Google Drive are a different thing, and you don’t need them.

## What your agent finds

| In the chat | In LVLZ |
| --- | --- |
| Projects | Projects with a status, description and due date |
| Tasks | Tasks with their latest status, priority and due date, in their project |
| People | Rows in the right table (clients, suppliers or contacts), with phone, email and company |
| About you | Your profile and the agent’s memory: your business, field and goals |
| The chat itself | Saved in Files, so no detail is lost |

## Frequently asked questions

### Is a WhatsApp export encrypted?

No. End-to-end encryption covers messages in transit. An exported chat is a plain text file (a .zip with a .txt inside on iPhone, a .txt on Android), so your agent can read it as is.

### Does anything get saved before I agree?

No. Your agent shows a preview of the projects, tasks, contacts and details it found, and imports only what you keep.

### What if I import the same chat again?

Nothing is duplicated. Projects match by name, tasks by title and contacts by name, phone or email, so a newer export only adds and updates what changed.

### How long a chat can it read?

WhatsApp exports the most recent messages, up to about 40,000 without media. For a very long chat, your agent reads the most recent part, tells you from which date it read, and keeps the whole file in Files.

### Should I include media?

Without media is faster and enough: your agent reads the text of the conversation.

### Does this work for assistants other than Instinct?

Yes. Any assistant you used over WhatsApp works the same way: export the chat and send it to your agent.
